Here is a family favorite for Thanksgiving Cornbread

Ingredients
1 large Spanish onion sliced
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 8.5 oz. package corn muffin mix
1 egg beaten
1/3 cup milk
1 can 8.5oz. cream style corn
2 drops Tabasco- optional
1 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. Dried dill weed
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese

Saute onion in butter and set aside. Preheat oven to 425 degrees

Mix muffin mix, beaten egg, milk, corn and Tabasco by hand. Grease 8 or 9 inch square pan and pour in corn batter

Mix sour cream, salt, dill, 1/2 cheese with sauted onions and spread over corn bread, Put remaining cheese on top.

Bake at 425 for 25-30 minutes. Cool and serve at room temp or slightly warm. Can be prepared day of party. Keep at room temp and reheat slightly before serving. Serve. Yield 8 servings
